Fill out the short form and tell us what you are noticing at your Chula Vista home. We read every request and follow up about a visit.
This is where you ask Chula Vista Structural for a free quote. We work with homeowners in every part of Chula Vista, from the older blocks near Third Avenue to the newest streets in Otay Ranch. When a repair needs engineering, we coordinate with licensed engineers as needed.
You do not need to know what is wrong. Most people who contact us only know that something changed: a crack got longer, a door started to stick, or the floor in one room feels off. That is enough to start.
What to put in the form
The form asks for your name, phone, email, ZIP code, the kind of problem, a short description, and how you like to be contacted. A few extra details help us come prepared:
- Your street or neighborhood, so we know if the home is in the City of Chula Vista or in County areas like Bonita or Sunnyside
- About when the house was built, if you know
- Whether you think the home is on a slab or has a crawl space under the floor (it is fine to say “not sure”)
- When you first noticed the problem, and whether it gets worse after rain or in summer
- Whether an HOA manages the slopes or walls near your home
- Any inspection report from a purchase or sale
Photos help. They do not replace a visit, but they show us where to look first.
What happens next
We read your request. A real person goes over what you wrote.
We call or email you back. We ask a few questions, confirm the address, and find a time that works for you.
We visit the house. We look at cracks, measure floor levels, check drainage around the foundation, and figure out the foundation type. On newer east-side homes we look for signs of a post-tension slab before anyone talks about drilling or cutting.
We explain what we found. You get a plain explanation and our recommendation. If the work needs a City permit, stamped plans, or a soils report, we tell you before you decide anything.
Sending the form does not sign you up for anything. It is a request for us to contact you.
Where we work
Every part of the City of Chula Vista. On the west side, that includes Northwest Chula Vista around Third Avenue, Hilltop, Castle Park, and the former Montgomery area around Otay and Harborside. On the east side, it includes Rancho del Rey, EastLake and The Woods at EastLake, Otay Ranch, Rolling Hills Ranch and Bella Lago, and San Miguel Ranch. If your street is not on this list, ask anyway. The list is examples, not limits.
The two halves of the city tend to need different things. West-side homes are older, and many have raised floors, so we plan for crawl space work and seismic questions. East-side homes are newer and mostly on slabs over graded ground, so we plan for slab, clay, and drainage questions. Tell us which side you are on and we will come ready for it.
Good to know before we come out
Most repairs or alterations in Chula Vista need a building permit from the City’s Development Services Department. If your home is in unincorporated Bonita or Sunnyside, the County handles permits instead. We sort that out early so it does not surprise you later.
If you live in an HOA community, take a quick look at your CC&Rs. Some associations are responsible for slopes, walls, or drainage near your lot. Our page on HOA foundation concerns explains what to ask.
